Greg West Named NSSBL Player of the Week

Greg West, first baseman for the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry, is the Cleve’s Source for Sports Player of the Week in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.

West’s bat provided much of the offensive power, leading the Dry to four wins over the past week. He delivered the decisive blow with a 2-run home run in a win in Sydney and added a solo home run in the second game. He also delivered a 2-run double in a victory over the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians last Tues.

Other players in contention for the award were Truro Bearcats’ pitcher Craig Field who pitched 8 strong innings in the Bearcats’ win over Halifax Friday night and Mooshead Dry teammates Steve Nelson and Joel Irvine.
